Who does Wilmington CareNet serve?
Wilmington CareNet serves individuals, couples and families without regard to age, gender, ethnicity, or faith. The center's clients include those within the community who are dealing with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, grief, work-related stress, addictions, abuse and trauma, phase-of-life challenges, spiritual development concerns, and relationship issues.
Wilmington CareNet, with offices in Wilmington, Jacksonville, and Brunswick County, serves clients from surrounding areas including New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Duplin and Onslow as well as other areas.

The ministry of Wilmington CareNet serves as an extension of pastoral care into the community. The counseling staff integrates Judeo-Christian principles and values into the therapy process in a non-threatening manner and with clients' consent.
Wilmington CareNet's counselors, Executive Board members, and administrative staff represent numerous denominational and independent Christian church affiliations within the community. Matters of church doctrine are not addressed as therapeutic issues.
Wilmington CareNet's Clergy and Congregational Care Program provides counseling and consultation support for pastors and other church staff members, as well as seminars and workshops for congregations.

What payment service options are available?
Wilmington CareNet's counselors may receive payment for services through most insurance and employee assistance plans. Clients who are uninsured or underinsured, or who are unable to pay for services due to financial hardship, may qualify for assistance. Wilmington CareNet seeks to provide services to anyone who might benefit from them.
Members of churches participating in the Congregational Assistance Plan with Wilmington CareNet may have payment for services covered in part or in full according to specific plan agreements.

How does Wilmington CareNet receive funds to operate?
Wilmington CareNet is a nonprofit organization, and is financially supported by local churches, by corporate partners, and by individuals within our communities. Support is also raised through fundraising events, and through grants for special programs such as the ministry's Client-Aid Initiative.
Individuals who partner with Wilmington CareNet become part of a prayer and financial support team which enhances the ministry's capacity to address mental health needs within southeastern North Carolina. CareNet's staff and Executive Board work proactively with individual partners to nurture the ministry partnership perspective.
