Ed Cochard, LPA
Ed Cochard is a Licensed Psychological Associate who has been providing mental health services since 1995. He has practiced in outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings. He has also worked in community mental health and private practice outpatient clinics. He has experience treating both mental health and substance abuse issues in adults. His areas of clinical focus include treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, anger management, compulsive behavioral disorders and substance use disorders. Ed utilizes a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing in his treatment approach. He earned a BS in Psychology and Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University in 1991. He continued on at Old Dominion University to earn his Master’s degree in Psychology in 1993. Ed is in the Wilmington office Tuesday – Thursday and in the Bolivia office on Mondays.
