Ed Barron, MA, LCMHCA
My primary approach to counseling is relational. I believe that understanding relationships are a vital component in the therapeutic process.  I use an integrated approach (a combination of person-centered cognitive behavioral, positive psychology/strength based, and traditional psychodynamic theories). My goal is to create a safe space for clients to be respected, heard, and understood.

I provide counseling to adults, couples, children, adolescents, families & groups. I especially enjoy working couples with separation/ divorce situations, children of divorce and blended families, as well addiction/recovery.   I work with those experiencing a variety of problems including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, individuals in crisis, as well as those struggling with chronic issues.

I believe clients have a role in the therapeutic process and should be active in setting goals and evaluating what is or is not working in the process.  The client’s input is essential in assessing the risk and benefit of change, the time commitment involved, and establishing treatment goals.
